TF Virtual Educational Centres |
|
The current need within Europe for professional development and educational services outside of the traditional academic face-to-face educational context obviously potentiates the role of distance universities. However, while these universities are recognised for their expertise and experience in LOF (Lifelong Open and Flexible – as per the Heerlen EADTU 2004 message) learning in distance HE, it does not necessarily follow that their educational and service models can be applied directly to new markets in a robust and scalable fashion.
Task Force VEC was initialized by UNED, under coordination of Tim Read.

The EADTU TF Libraries was gathering in Barcelona on the 8th of April at the UOC in Barcelona. A start was made for setting up a European network of Libraries with a shared set of Library Services.
